Just on reading your comment, I am thinking how we can and do 'manipulate' reality with our photographic kit ... If you see this plant, in its 'normal state, it looks nice, yes, but plain... not beautiful. But, take a good camera (and the correct settings), a good lens (using it as wide open as possible), a natural density filter, the correct angle (practice/luck?) and then straight, non-fancy editing (no special effects) and this is what you get ... so.. is it real?
hmmm... the settings up to you so the photography is kinds of point of view, I think. You don't have to use it all and than you get a very real looking shot
